About us

This exciting and inspiring journey started over 10 years ago at Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust where started a new role,  as an assistant in the Occupational Therapy Department. 

This was a wonderful opportunity to meet patients from the Royal Borough of Kingston and surrounding boroughs, including the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames, Surrey, Merton, Sutton, Wandsworth, Elmbridge Epsom and Ewell. 

This journey goes on... I continue to work at this hospital.

Currently, I work as an Occupational Therapist in Merton Reablement Team.

Our focus is to help our residents reach their full potential in their home environment. 

​

My current OT roles allow me to support our patients and their close ones in their challenging times.

Together we focus on empowerment, inclusion, regaining control of their lives and re-engage in their favourite community activities. 

I work with family members, informal carers, and care agencies. 

I assess for, prescribe and review moving and handling equipment.

I arrange practical sessions around moving and handling tasks to maximise confidence and competency.

Seeing that small change makes a significant difference in people's lives reassures me that I am on the right path.

At JOMI Training we are a small and friendly team of two. 

Myself, Joanna (OT), and Leszek (Admin/ IT).

Leszek provides ever so important expertise and knowledge around all admin aspects, and having our website running smoothly and efficiently.

Additionally, Leszek has an extensive experience and knowledge in care setting, including complex people moving and handling in a care home and in home care setting.

Leszek therefore has a great understanding, empathy and problem solving skills.
